Barangay Penabatan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Penabatan is one of the administrative divisions of Pulilan in Bulacan, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Penabatan had a population of 2,377. This made it the 17th largest of 19 barangays in Pulilan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Penabatan accounted for approximately 2.18% of the total population of Pulilan, which stood at 108,836 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Penabatan changed from 1,996 to 2,377, a shift of +19.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Pulilan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Penabatan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pulilan is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Penabatan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
