Barangay Cometa

Barangay Cometa is a very small barangay in the municipality of Quezon, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cometa had a population of 475. This made it the 12th largest of 24 barangays in Quezon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cometa accounted for approximately 2.99% of the total population of Quezon, which stood at 15,886 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cometa moving from 440 residents to 475 residents, an intercensal change of +8.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Cometa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
