Barangay Panaytayan

Barangay Panaytayan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Ragay, located in the province of Camarines Sur, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Panaytayan had a population of 2,327. This made it the 7th largest of 38 barangays in Ragay by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Panaytayan accounted for approximately 3.89% of the total population of Ragay, which stood at 59,770 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Panaytayan moving from 2,157 residents to 2,327 residents, an intercensal change of +7.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Panaytayan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Ragay is a municipality comprising 38 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Panaytayan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
