Barangay Tala

Situated in Rizal, Laguna, Barangay Tala is one of 11 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tala had a population of 3,014. This made it the 1st largest of 11 barangays in Rizal by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tala accounted for approximately 16.44% of the total population of Rizal, which stood at 18,332 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tala changed from 2,897 to 3,014, a shift of +4.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Rizal. Barangay Tala is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Rizal is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tala, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Laguna, which contains 681 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tala ranks 281st by 2020 population. Laguna is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
