Barangay Mascap

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Mascap is one of the administrative divisions of Rodriguez in Rizal, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mascap had a population of 4,708. This made it the 10th largest of 11 barangays in Rodriguez by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mascap accounted for approximately 1.06% of the total population of Rodriguez, which stood at 443,954 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Mascap changed from 4,699 to 4,708, a shift of +0.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Rodriguez. Barangay Mascap is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Rodriguez is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mascap, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Rizal, which contains 189 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Mascap ranks 106th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
