Barangay Cobrador

Barangay Cobrador is a small barangay in the municipality of Romblon, located in the province of Romblon, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cobrador had a population of 880. This made it the 19th largest of 31 barangays in Romblon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cobrador accounted for approximately 2.17% of the total population of Romblon, which stood at 40,554 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cobrador moving from 822 residents to 880 residents, an intercensal change of +7.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cobrador as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Romblon is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cobrador, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Romblon, which contains 219 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Cobrador ranks 150th by 2020 population.
