Barangay Mapula

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Mapula is one of the administrative divisions of Romblon in Romblon, MIMAROPA Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mapula had a population of 654. This made it the 28th largest of 31 barangays in Romblon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mapula accounted for approximately 1.61% of the total population of Romblon, which stood at 40,554 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Mapula changed from 654 to 654, a shift of 0.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Romblon. Barangay Mapula is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Romblon is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mapula, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
