Situated in Rosario, Batangas, Barangay Namuco is one of 48 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

This made it the 3rd largest of 48 barangays in Rosario by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Namuco accounted for approximately 4.59% of the total population of Rosario, which stood at 128,352 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Namuco changed from 4,992 to 5,890, a shift of +18.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Rosario. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Namuco as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Rosario is a municipality comprising 48 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Namuco, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Batangas, which contains 1,078 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Namuco ranks 84th by 2020 population. Barangay Namuco is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
