Barangay Parasapas

Barangay Parasapas is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Rosario, located in the province of La Union, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Parasapas had a population of 2,080. This made it the 11th largest of 33 barangays in Rosario by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Parasapas accounted for approximately 3.45% of the total population of Rosario, which stood at 60,278 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Parasapas moving from 1,798 residents to 2,080 residents, an intercensal change of +15.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Parasapas is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
