Barangay Bao-angan

Situated in Sabangan, Mountain Province, Barangay Bao-angan is one of 15 barangays that make up the municipality within CAR.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bao-angan had a population of 394. This made it the 13th largest of 15 barangays in Sabangan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bao-angan accounted for approximately 4.10% of the total population of Sabangan, which stood at 9,621 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bao-angan changed from 369 to 394, a shift of +6.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sabangan. Barangay Bao-angan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sabangan is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bao-angan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
