Barangay Poblacion

Barangay Poblacion is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Sablan, located in the province of Benguet, in the CAR region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 2,742. This made it the 1st largest of 8 barangays in Sablan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 23.66% of the total population of Sablan, which stood at 11,588 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 2,808 residents to 2,742 residents, an intercensal change of -2.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
