Barangay Tinorongan

Situated in Sagñay, Camarines Sur, Barangay Tinorongan is one of 19 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tinorongan had a population of 2,252. This made it the 6th largest of 19 barangays in Sagñay by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tinorongan accounted for approximately 6.11% of the total population of Sagñay, which stood at 36,841 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tinorongan moving from 2,633 residents to 2,252 residents, an intercensal change of -14.5%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Tinorongan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
