Barangay Suba

Situated in Samboan, Cebu, Barangay Suba is one of 15 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Suba had a population of 1,931. This made it the 3rd largest of 15 barangays in Samboan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Suba accounted for approximately 9.48% of the total population of Samboan, which stood at 20,373 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Suba moving from 1,948 residents to 1,931 residents, an intercensal change of -0.9%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. Barangay Suba is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Samboan is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Suba, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
