Barangay Hinugusan

Barangay Hinugusan is a small barangay in the municipality of San Agustin, located in the province of Romblon, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Hinugusan had a population of 801. This made it the 14th largest of 15 barangays in San Agustin by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Hinugusan accounted for approximately 3.32% of the total population of San Agustin, which stood at 24,115 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Hinugusan moving from 819 residents to 801 residents, an intercensal change of -2.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Hinugusan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
