Barangay Arawan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Arawan is one of the administrative divisions of San Antonio in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Arawan had a population of 1,606. This made it the 15th largest of 20 barangays in San Antonio by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Arawan accounted for approximately 4.47% of the total population of San Antonio, which stood at 35,891 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Arawan moving from 1,705 residents to 1,606 residents, an intercensal change of -5.8%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Arawan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Antonio is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Arawan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
