Barangay Cabugao Nuevo

Barangay Cabugao Nuevo is a very small barangay in the municipality of San Enrique, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cabugao Nuevo had a population of 282. This made it the 28th largest of 28 barangays in San Enrique by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabugao Nuevo accounted for approximately 0.76% of the total population of San Enrique, which stood at 36,911 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 279 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 282 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.1%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Cabugao Nuevo is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Enrique is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cabugao Nuevo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Iloilo, which contains 1,901 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Cabugao Nuevo ranks 1581st by 2020 population.
