Barangay Cabatbatan

Barangay Cabatbatan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of San Fernando, located in the province of Cebu, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cabatbatan had a population of 2,075. This made it the 15th largest of 21 barangays in San Fernando by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabatbatan accounted for approximately 2.87% of the total population of San Fernando, which stood at 72,224 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Cabatbatan changed from 1,933 to 2,075, a shift of +7.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Fernando. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cabatbatan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Fernando is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cabatbatan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
