Barangay Candungao

Barangay Candungao is a small barangay in the municipality of San Isidro, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Candungao had a population of 1,204. This made it the 2nd largest of 12 barangays in San Isidro by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Candungao accounted for approximately 12.15% of the total population of San Isidro, which stood at 9,909 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Candungao moving from 922 residents to 1,204 residents, an intercensal change of +30.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Candungao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
