Barangay Linao

Situated in San Isidro, Leyte, Barangay Linao is one of 19 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Linao had a population of 1,706. This made it the 9th largest of 19 barangays in San Isidro by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Linao accounted for approximately 5.55% of the total population of San Isidro, which stood at 30,722 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Linao changed from 1,503 to 1,706, a shift of +13.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Isidro. Barangay Linao is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Isidro is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Linao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
