Barangay Taglawigan

Barangay Taglawigan forms part of San Isidro, a municipality in Leyte, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Taglawigan had a population of 1,134. This made it the 14th largest of 19 barangays in San Isidro by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Taglawigan accounted for approximately 3.69% of the total population of San Isidro, which stood at 30,722 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Taglawigan changed from 1,114 to 1,134, a shift of +1.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in San Isidro. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Taglawigan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Isidro is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Taglawigan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
