Situated in San Isidro, Surigao Del Norte, Barangay Del Pilar is one of 12 barangays that make up the municipality within Caraga.

This made it the 5th largest of 12 barangays in San Isidro by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Del Pilar changed from 452 to 597, a shift of +32.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Isidro. Barangay Del Pilar is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
