Barangay Capaoay (Pob.)

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Capaoay (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of San Jacinto in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Capaoay (Pob.) had a population of 2,436. This made it the 9th largest of 19 barangays in San Jacinto by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Capaoay (Pob.) accounted for approximately 5.49% of the total population of San Jacinto, which stood at 44,351 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,556 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,436 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -4.7%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Capaoay (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

San Jacinto is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Capaoay (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
