Barangay Del Carmen (Pob.)

Barangay Del Carmen (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of San Jose, located in the province of Camarines Sur, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Del Carmen (Pob.) had a population of 617. This made it the 27th largest of 29 barangays in San Jose by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Del Carmen (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.40% of the total population of San Jose, which stood at 43,973 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Del Carmen (Pob.) changed from 637 to 617, a shift of -3.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in San Jose. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Del Carmen (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Jose is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Del Carmen (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
