Barangay Inabasan forms part of San Jose, a municipality in Antique, and is classified as a small barangay.

This made it the 19th largest of 28 barangays in San Jose by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Inabasan changed from 1,382 to 1,431, a shift of +3.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Jose. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Inabasan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
