Barangay Maybato Norte

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Maybato Norte is one of the administrative divisions of San Jose in Antique, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Maybato Norte had a population of 4,554. This made it the 4th largest of 28 barangays in San Jose by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Maybato Norte accounted for approximately 6.99% of the total population of San Jose, which stood at 65,140 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Maybato Norte changed from 4,219 to 4,554, a shift of +7.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Jose. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Maybato Norte as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Jose is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Maybato Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Antique, which contains 590 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Maybato Norte ranks 6th by 2020 population.
