Barangay Sico I

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Sico I is one of the administrative divisions of San Juan in Batangas, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sico I had a population of 1,953. This made it the 27th largest of 42 barangays in San Juan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sico I accounted for approximately 1.71% of the total population of San Juan, which stood at 114,068 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,977 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,953 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -1.2%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sico I as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Juan is a municipality comprising 42 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sico I, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Batangas, which contains 1,078 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Sico I ranks 558th by 2020 population.
