Barangay Mampurog

Barangay Mampurog is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of San Lorenzo Ruiz, located in the province of Camarines Norte, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mampurog had a population of 2,967. This made it the 2nd largest of 12 barangays in San Lorenzo Ruiz by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mampurog accounted for approximately 18.83% of the total population of San Lorenzo Ruiz, which stood at 15,757 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Mampurog moving from 2,663 residents to 2,967 residents, an intercensal change of +11.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mampurog as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Lorenzo Ruiz is a municipality comprising 12 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mampurog, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
