Barangay Balite

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Balite is one of the administrative divisions of San Luis in Batangas, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Balite had a population of 1,133. This made it the 17th largest of 26 barangays in San Luis by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Balite accounted for approximately 3.13% of the total population of San Luis, which stood at 36,172 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Balite changed from 997 to 1,133, a shift of +13.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Luis. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Balite as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Luis is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Balite, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Batangas, which contains 1,078 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Balite ranks 825th by 2020 population.
