Barangay Santa Cruz

Situated in San Miguel, Iloilo, Barangay Santa Cruz is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

This made it the 3rd largest of 24 barangays in San Miguel by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Cruz accounted for approximately 7.79% of the total population of San Miguel, which stood at 30,115 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,117 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,347 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Santa Cruz as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
