Barangay Cabangahan

Situated in San Miguel, Bohol, Barangay Cabangahan is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cabangahan had a population of 769. This made it the 15th largest of 18 barangays in San Miguel by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabangahan accounted for approximately 3.03% of the total population of San Miguel, which stood at 25,356 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cabangahan moving from 671 residents to 769 residents, an intercensal change of +14.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cabangahan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
