Barangay Poblacion West

Situated in San Nicolas, Pangasinan, Barangay Poblacion West is one of 33 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion West had a population of 610. This made it the 27th largest of 33 barangays in San Nicolas by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion West accounted for approximately 1.53% of the total population of San Nicolas, which stood at 39,778 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 601 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 610 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.5%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Poblacion West is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
