Barangay Halabangbaybay

Situated in San Pascual, Masbate, Barangay Halabangbaybay is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Halabangbaybay had a population of 1,150. This made it the 21st largest of 22 barangays in San Pascual by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Halabangbaybay accounted for approximately 2.59% of the total population of San Pascual, which stood at 44,449 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Halabangbaybay changed from 1,431 to 1,150, a shift of -19.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in San Pascual. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Halabangbaybay as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Pascual is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Halabangbaybay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
