Barangay Ilat South

Barangay Ilat South is a small barangay in the municipality of San Pascual, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Ilat South had a population of 1,293. This made it the 18th largest of 29 barangays in San Pascual by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ilat South accounted for approximately 1.87% of the total population of San Pascual, which stood at 69,009 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Ilat South changed from 1,363 to 1,293, a shift of -5.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in San Pascual. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Ilat South as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Pascual is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ilat South, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Batangas, which contains 1,078 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Ilat South ranks 776th by 2020 population.
