Barangay Sampaloc

Situated in San Rafael, Bulacan, Barangay Sampaloc is one of 34 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sampaloc had a population of 4,480. This made it the 6th largest of 34 barangays in San Rafael by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sampaloc accounted for approximately 4.35% of the total population of San Rafael, which stood at 103,097 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,009 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,480 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Sampaloc is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

San Rafael is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sampaloc, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bulacan, which contains 569 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Sampaloc ranks 277th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
