Barangay San Miguel

Situated in San Remigio, Cebu, Barangay San Miguel is one of 27 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

This made it the 11th largest of 27 barangays in San Remigio by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Miguel accounted for approximately 3.64% of the total population of San Remigio, which stood at 65,744 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Miguel changed from 1,706 to 2,391, a shift of +40.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Remigio. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Miguel as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
