Barangay Carmelo I

Barangay Carmelo I is a small barangay in the municipality of San Remigio, located in the province of Antique, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Carmelo I had a population of 516. This made it the 31st largest of 45 barangays in San Remigio by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Carmelo I accounted for approximately 1.52% of the total population of San Remigio, which stood at 34,045 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Carmelo I moving from 485 residents to 516 residents, an intercensal change of +6.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
