Barangay Primicias

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Primicias is one of the administrative divisions of Santa Barbara in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Primicias had a population of 1,819. This made it the 24th largest of 29 barangays in Santa Barbara by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Primicias accounted for approximately 1.97% of the total population of Santa Barbara, which stood at 92,187 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,939 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,819 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -6.2%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Primicias is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Barbara is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Primicias, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pangasinan, which contains 1,364 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Primicias ranks 716th by 2020 population.
