Barangay Baliis

Situated in Santa Cruz, Marinduque, Barangay Baliis is one of 55 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Baliis had a population of 670. This made it the 37th largest of 55 barangays in Santa Cruz by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Baliis accounted for approximately 1.23% of the total population of Santa Cruz, which stood at 54,692 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Baliis moving from 724 residents to 670 residents, an intercensal change of -7.5%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Baliis is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
