Barangay Poblacion East

Barangay Poblacion East is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Santa Ignacia, located in the province of Tarlac, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion East had a population of 3,846. This made it the 2nd largest of 24 barangays in Santa Ignacia by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion East accounted for approximately 7.45% of the total population of Santa Ignacia, which stood at 51,626 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,556 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,846 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +8.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Poblacion East is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
