Barangay Timmaguab

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Timmaguab is one of the administrative divisions of Santa Ignacia in Tarlac, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Timmaguab had a population of 2,556. This made it the 9th largest of 24 barangays in Santa Ignacia by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Timmaguab accounted for approximately 4.95% of the total population of Santa Ignacia, which stood at 51,626 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,325 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,556 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Timmaguab is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Ignacia is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Timmaguab, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Tarlac, which contains 511 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Timmaguab ranks 192nd by 2020 population.
