Barangay Luna

Situated in Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija, Barangay Luna is one of 33 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Luna had a population of 1,864. This made it the 20th largest of 33 barangays in Santa Rosa by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Luna accounted for approximately 2.46% of the total population of Santa Rosa, which stood at 75,649 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Luna changed from 1,719 to 1,864, a shift of +8.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Santa Rosa. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Luna as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Rosa is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Luna, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
