Barangay Irukan

Barangay Irukan is a small barangay in the municipality of Santa Teresita, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Irukan had a population of 785. This made it the 14th largest of 17 barangays in Santa Teresita by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Irukan accounted for approximately 3.64% of the total population of Santa Teresita, which stood at 21,559 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Irukan moving from 637 residents to 785 residents, an intercensal change of +23.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Irukan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
