Barangay Calay-ab

Situated in Santo Domingo, Ilocos Sur, Barangay Calay-ab is one of 36 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

This made it the 17th largest of 36 barangays in Santo Domingo by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Calay-ab changed from 821 to 860, a shift of +4.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Santo Domingo. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Calay-ab as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
