Barangay Sapad

Situated in Sapad, Lanao Del Norte, Barangay Sapad is one of 17 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sapad had a population of 1,243. This made it the 8th largest of 17 barangays in Sapad by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sapad accounted for approximately 5.41% of the total population of Sapad, which stood at 22,974 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sapad moving from 1,187 residents to 1,243 residents, an intercensal change of +4.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sapad as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
