Barangay Bahaybahay

Situated in Sikatuna, Bohol, Barangay Bahaybahay is one of 10 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bahaybahay had a population of 442. This made it the 8th largest of 10 barangays in Sikatuna by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bahaybahay accounted for approximately 6.40% of the total population of Sikatuna, which stood at 6,906 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bahaybahay moving from 430 residents to 442 residents, an intercensal change of +2.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bahaybahay as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sikatuna is a municipality comprising 10 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bahaybahay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
