Barangay Upper Inuman

Barangay Upper Inuman is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Sindangan, located in the province of Zamboanga Del Norte, in the Zamboanga Peninsula region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Upper Inuman had a population of 2,338. This made it the 17th largest of 52 barangays in Sindangan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Upper Inuman accounted for approximately 2.25% of the total population of Sindangan, which stood at 103,952 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Upper Inuman changed from 2,210 to 2,338, a shift of +5.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sindangan. Barangay Upper Inuman is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sindangan is a municipality comprising 52 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Upper Inuman, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
