Barangay Candiz

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Candiz is one of the administrative divisions of Siocon in Zamboanga Del Norte, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Candiz had a population of 3,539. This made it the 2nd largest of 26 barangays in Siocon by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Candiz accounted for approximately 7.29% of the total population of Siocon, which stood at 48,524 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Candiz moving from 3,529 residents to 3,539 residents, an intercensal change of +0.3%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Candiz is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
