Barangay Zone I (Pob.)

Situated in Sogod, Southern Leyte, Barangay Zone I (Pob.) is one of 45 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Zone I (Pob.) had a population of 1,641. This made it the 11th largest of 45 barangays in Sogod by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Zone I (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.45% of the total population of Sogod, which stood at 47,552 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Zone I (Pob.) moving from 1,567 residents to 1,641 residents, an intercensal change of +4.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
