Barangay Roxas

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Roxas is one of the administrative divisions of Solano in Nueva Vizcaya, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Roxas had a population of 8,696. This made it the 1st largest of 22 barangays in Solano by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Roxas accounted for approximately 13.32% of the total population of Solano, which stood at 65,287 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 7,954 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 8,696 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Roxas as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Solano is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Roxas, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Vizcaya, which contains 275 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Roxas ranks 1st by 2020 population. Nueva Vizcaya is classified as a 2nd by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Like every Philippine barangay, Barangay Roxas is led by an elected Punong Barangay (barangay captain) supported by seven Sangguniang Barangay members (kagawads), an SK Chairperson, a Barangay Secretary, and a Barangay Treasurer. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
