Barangay Moloy

Situated in Surallah, South Cotabato, Barangay Moloy is one of 17 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Moloy had a population of 3,861. This made it the 10th largest of 17 barangays in Surallah by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Moloy accounted for approximately 4.32% of the total population of Surallah, which stood at 89,340 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Moloy moving from 3,616 residents to 3,861 residents, an intercensal change of +6.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Moloy as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Surallah is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Moloy, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
